‘Glee’ season 5 spoilers: Did Demi Lovato dye hair blue for role as Dani?
Did Demi Lovato get herself a hair transformation just to take on her newest role on “Glee” season 5? The moment that we first saw her sporting some electric blue hair (which you can see in the video interview with E! News below), we were wondering this very thing. However, the more that we hear about it now, the more that it starts to feel like this was something done with another show in mind.
Specifically, the “Made in the USA” singer, who is in the process of preparing for her “Neon Lights” tour early next year, told the organization that one of the major reasons why she made the change is to not only shake things up, but add a little bit more dimension to the judging panel on “The X Factor” for the start of its live shows next week:
“I want[ed] to do something different and fun especially for live shows for X Factor.”
Ready to enter conspiracy corner now? We have a couple of theories for you.
1. Demi’s new single is entitled “Neon Lights,” and in looking at this hair, you are almost immediately reminded of this.
2. Demi’s spot on “Glee” is for six episodes (or at least it was at first), and given how little time she has between now and the start of her tour, she will have to be filming the rest of them soon. After all, if she did have to change the hair thanks to the show, she certainly would not be able to talk about it.
Regardless of the reason, it looks like the blue hair will be sticking around until likely December, which is when these live shows will come to a close. Demi is mentoring the girls this year, which is going to feel almost identical to the sort of work that she did with the young adults last year, with the exception that some of these people are a little younger and close to when she was first getting into music hardcore.
While there are no photos of Demi released yet for the “A Katy or a Gaga” episode airing in a week, you can click here and at least see some of the images of the other characters. Think of it as a nice consolation prize.
