‘Shark Tank’ preview: RuffleButts visits the sharks; a Nardo’s Natural update
Fashion lines. There are a few businesses that struggle on “Shark Tank” or in the market quite like this one. The only other products that we think have as much trouble coming into the tank are food products and jewelry. It’s hard to bring anything to the table that is particular proprietary, so you have to therefore find a way to travel down a very familiar road, but with just enough variance to get yourself noticed.
The product that we want to focus on in this particular preview article is RuffleButts, mostly because they at least have one good idea here: Creating clothing for children that have ruffles by and large all over them. Parents love dressing up their children in ridiculous things, and ruffles to us fit that bill. There is a market for this stuff, even though we could not see it being everyday wear except for the more girly children that are into this fashion all of the time.
Based on what we know about their brand, they have a good shot of getting a deal; the only concern is that they may have a little too much going on for their own good, and sometimes, these sharks prefer to take a bite on something simple and easy to understand.
If you want to read some more news about this episode, including some news on a brand getting an update in Nardo’s Natural, just be sure to check out the full synopsis below:
“Two men from Chapel Hill, North Carolina offer live goat rentals to provide grazing services for lawns with pesky weeds, and a couple from Charlotte, North Carolina pitch their children’s accessories line to the Sharks. A Los Angeles woman promotes her numbing cream and underwear for use before bikini waxing, and a couple from Upland, California promotes their popsicles made from fruits and veggies. There’s also an emotional update on Nardo’s Naturals, an organic skin care line in St. Petersburg, Florida. Since their deal two seasons ago with Shark Barbara Corcoran, the entrepreneurs had to overcome a family tragedy to keep their business going.”
As we said earlier on in the week, we’ve actually seen the owner of waxing-product BareEase before; her name is Dr. Edma Ma, and she went pretty far on “Survivor: South Pacific” alongside Coach and his alliance. You can see her featured briefly in this promo.
Check back tomorrow after the episode airs, as we are going to have a full review online as always.
