‘How I Met Your Mother’ season 9, episode 3 preview: The ‘ringbear’ crisis continues

In the latest video update from Monday’s “How I Met Your Mother” season 9 episode, we learn that there is apparently going to be a running gag that stretched throughout the course of this season: Whether or not Barney is going to have an actual bear show up for the ceremony, or is he purposefully-speaking in such an ambiguous way in order to give Robin a hard time about who is going to be a ring-bearer.

At first, we groaned when we heard the bit mentioned in the video, but, we strangely loved it seconds later. Compared to what may be the rest of the story for these two this week, it may be far and away better to hear talk about bears. Some elderly relatives are set to visit the Farhampton hotel and site of the wedding, and the two know that the moment they get there, the potential for them to have fun is going to be extraordinarily small.

The basic theme of this video? That old people are not the sort that you would want to spend time with, and that they are slow. This is stuff that you could have looked up in the book of old sitcom jokes, and we hope that it builds to a funnier conclusion.

This episode, in case you missed our previous stories on the subject, was originally the fourth of the season airing after “The Broken Code.” However, these two were later switched up, and now the other episode, which will revolve around some serious Barney and Ted tension concerning Robin, will air a week from Monday.
