‘Dexter’ season 8, episode 11 preview: First look at ‘Monkey in a Box,’ Dexter vs. Oliver Saxon

Tonight on “Dexter,” we had quite a few shockers, no? Well, there are only two episodes left on the series, and things are only going to get crazier from here on out. We have already had one significant death in Dr. Evelyn Vogel, and with two episodes still to go, we have a hard time imagining that the rest of our characters are going to live to see the closing credits.

So within this upcoming episode “Monkey in a Box,” the question becomes whether or not Saxon can really be stopped, and if Dexter can really let him go and focus on leaving town with Hannah. A storm is coming to Miami, and thanks to that, he is starting to run out of options … and the fact that the Marshalls are closing in on Yvonne Strahovski’s character makes matters even trickier for him.

At this point, there really are a few questions that are worth asking:

1. Is Dexter going to get out of town? – We still have a hard time thinking that his endgame is having some happy ending somewhere with Hannah, who has barely been around for an eighth of the series’ run.

2. Is someone else going to die? – We have to believe so, mostly because that is the sort of show that this is.

3. What happens next to Miami Metro? – While most of these people are clueless, we still want to see them have some sort of happy ending for themselves.
