‘New Girl’ season 3, ‘The Mindy Project’ season 2 team up in latest promo

Are you excited for a great night of comedy? When you combine Nick Miller with James Franco, we have a very hard time believing that you can go wrong.

The video below gives us a taste of some of what we are going to be able to see when “The Mindy Project” and “New Girl” pick back up on Tuesday, September 17 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time, and it includes a good bit of silliness, new haircuts, sleeveless shirts, and cops going where cops really shouldn’t go.

If we are to begin with “New Girl,” the premise for the premiere is that Nick and Jess decide to get away to Mexico for a brief little lovers’ retreat, but just about everything goes awry that you think of. Nick finds himself in trouble with the policia, which of course makes Schmidt and Winston believe that they should somehow go and become his knight in shining armor. Let’s be real here: You know that this is not going to end very well.

As for “The Mindy Project,” the promo teases what is the arrival of James Franco to the show. The upcoming Comedy Central Roast target is set to get all up in Mindy’s business in his arc, which is apparently going to maker her angry … and jealous. Based on the video, James is pretty funny already, and really should dive back into television again if he’s tired of being weird and eccentric.
