ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 6 spoilers: Seamus Dever on Beckett story, new fans, more

“Castle” fans, the bad news that we will start this article with should be obvious: You still have a mighty long time to wait until season 6 premieres on ABC September 24. However, ABC’s Television Critics Association panel has given us a few things worth talking about this past week, and with that, we have some new notable quotes via Seamus Dever below.

Speaking to PopSugar, the actor opened up about quite a few topics, including what it was like being at the TCA event, seeing the rest of the ABC lineup, and also the new fans that are slowly starting to find the show now thanks to syndication (one of the many rewards to a network keeping something around for longer than four seasons).

On the more spoilery side of things, Dever discussed how a potential move by Beckett to Washington DC could end of paying off in spades for the show, especially when it comes to giving all of the characters more to do, and more to interact with.

While it’s not confirmed that Stana Katic’s character is going to be making the jump down to Washington, it seems like the right decision at the moment for her career to do so. As for what will happen in New York if she does depart, you could see Dever’s Ryan take on a more conservative role in the precinct, as his impending fatherhood will understandably make him a tad skittish when it comes to doing things that are particularly dangerous.
