‘The Originals’ spoilers: Who will be joining Joseph Morgan in ‘New Orleans’?

What's next -While it may be all quiet right now when it comes to scoop on the flagship show “The Vampire Diaries,” there are some things buzzing in the world of the spin-off in “The Originals,” at least from a casting perspective.

According to SpoilerTV, the series is currently casting the role of Kieran, who is a priest that carries with him many burdens … including a pretty dark past. Does this mean that this man is not entirely fighting for the side of good? It’s possible, but there are also so few details about the role right now that assumptions are difficult to make.

Nonetheless, the role sounds perfect for the dark, twisted environment that we are going to see for this show in New Orleans. Production of the series is currently under way in Atlanta, with most of the concrete details under wraps … which is probably helped courtesy of the sole fact that there are very few characters on the show right now that anyone knows much of anything about, save for Joseph Morgan’s Klaus and a few other members of the family.

There is one other interesting production detail that we can share, though, courtesy of executive producer Julie Plec’s Twitter account. While “The Vampire Diaries” shoots in Atlanta from Monday-Friday, this show has a Wednesday-Sunday schedule in the same city. In other words, we don’t know how Plec ever has any time off.

While “The Vampire Diaries” may be quiet as we mentioned earlier, we know that Elena is going to face some conspiracies in college pretty early after her arrival. As for whether any characters from “The Originals” will appear there, Claire Holt’s Rebekah should be around for the premiere before coming over to New Orleans in episode 2.
