‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 10 spoilers: ‘Being Human,’ ‘Hellcats’ alum join

Grey's Anatomy

If you remember back to some of our early casting scoop for “Grey’s Anatomy” season 10, you will remember that the ABC hit was looking for a firefighter to play a pivotal part in at least two episodes. Well, we know now that not only are we going to be meeting this character on the show soon, but that they will be joined by his fiancee.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, “Being Human” alum Bobby Campo has been cast in the role of Brian, a devoted fireman who turns up after a very dangerous accident. (It’s pretty fair to assume that he will be turning up at Seattle Grace, right?) He will be joined by Sasha, described as a tough cop who in addition to being his other half, is also a police officer. (Sasha will be played by Heather Hemmens, best known for her role on the short-lived “Hellcats.”)

It is hard to say whether or not these two characters could last longer than the planned story right now, given that Shonda Rhimes and the rest of the team are so early in the production process. While they likely have some plans mapped out in the script, this can change rather quickly over time depending on what works during filming, and what does not. We are personally just happy to see that there is an effort being made here to do something more than just another “patient of the week” storyline during the early going of the show this year.

For now, does the idea of a firefighter-themed opening episode or two interest you, especially when you remember that there will also be plenty else going on around the character? If you want to read some more pre-season “Grey’s Anatomy” hype, our advice is to check out the link here.
