‘Under the Dome’ episode 2 preview: First look at ‘Into the Fire’
Did you enjoy the first episode of CBS’ “Under the Dome”? Then you’re probably going to love everything that is coming your way this season. The drama is going to get more intense, especially once the panic starts to really set in for the folks in Chester’s Mill.
At first, you could think of the second episode’s title “Into the Fire” as some sort of metaphor that things are going to start to get really bad for this Maine community. Instead, what we are actually talking about here is that there is going to be a pretty terrible fire, and some of these people are going to struggle to figure out how in the world to extinguish it thanks to a very unfortunately placement of the dome.
Check out the full synopsis of the hour below:
“While the residents of Chester’s Mill face the uncertainty of life in the dome, panic is heightened when a house goes up in flames and their fire department is outside of the dome”
Over time, the biggest threats will inevitably be one another, given that this is not a horror story about a zombie apocalypse or anything of the sort. It’s really just a prison of the worst kind, since you can see everyone out in the world around you from all directions and resources are going to be very limited.
As much as some fans out there have lauded the show already for bringing something original to the Monday-night lineup, there are also some Stephen King purists who have felt that the new show is not canon, and therefore should be shamed, publicly flogged, and possible trapped under a dome with a sheet put over it so that nobody can tell what’s going on. Luckily, King has already given the series his blessing, and has no problem with producers deviating from the book.
Is there anything in particular that you want to see unfold on the second episode of the show? We want to hear all of your thoughts below, and we’ll be back tomorrow night with a full review.
