‘Sons of Anarchy’ season 6 spoilers: The trailer will be unveiled at…
Just in case you needed yet another reason to go to Comic-Con beyond the costumes, the comics, and pretty much everything that is not the food, there’s this: If you’re at the “Sons of Anarchy” panel on Sunday, July 21, you’re going to have a chance to see the season 6 trailer quite possibly before anyone else. Creator Kurt Sutter confirmed this in a Twitter Q&A that the first trailer will be shown at the event, along with a full Q&A with the cast.
Any Comic-Con veteran knows that showing off a trailer is a pretty standard move, since it’s always nice to bring some sort of gift to the fans who have been waiting hours and possibly have traveled across the country to see you. Given that this will be around two months before the premiere of the show on FX (given that the network opts for the same window as the past), there should be some good footage available around that time.
As for the panelists, we now know that in addition to Sutter, you’ll have a chance to see Charlie Hunnam, Katey Sagal, Ron Perlman, Maggie Siff, Kim Coates, Mark Boone Junior, Tommy Flanagan, Theo Rossi, Dayton Callie and Jimmy Smits. In other words, we have no idea why this panel would be anything short of awesome for any fan. Almost all of the big-name actors are there, and you even have Smits attending who is not even billed as a series regular. (Nero fans unite! Also, click here if you haven’t heard his recent podcast about this role and also “Dexter.”)
Hopefully, around this time we’ll also start to see some of the other good stuff for the show, whether it be posters, promotional photos, interviews, whatever. We’ll take a picture of Jax glaring at us the wrong way so long as it tells us something about the show.
