‘Supernatural’ season 9 spoilers: Are the ghostfacers really coming back?
It’s been a while since we have seen the ghostfacers stop by for an appearance on “Supernatural.” Think along the lines of several years. With so many of the show’s past guest stars being dead, you have to think that Jeremy Carver is going to bring at least one or two names from the past back; so why not have it be them?
Well, an interesting story has exploded online within the past couple of hours, so let’s try to get to the bottom of this. The rumors started when one of the actors in A.J. Buckley (Ed) tweeted out a series of messages regarding the characters and season 9 of the CW show. This, of course, was interpreted by many fans as proof that something was happening.
However, there are a few reasons why you should wait for a minute before raising your hands into the air and proclaiming that it’s “actually happening”:
1. It’s still a little early for any details about a new season of the show to be announced.
2. Buckley never said that it was for sure going to happen, but that he was merely “putting it out into the universe” … meaning that it’s something that he would like to see. He has also retweeted a few messages making it clear that this is more of a campaign to the writers than him reporting something as fact.
3. When informed of the Twitter messages today, producer Jim Michaels said it was “news to [him]” that the ghostfacers were coming back.
So really, this looks to be a case of the internet getting ahead of itself again. There are a ton of people out there who love the characters, and it does make sense for them to return. We’ll just have to wait and see if it happens, and we’re sure they will turn up at least one more time before the series ends.

That makes two of us, I can’t stand them either. Ghostfacers have too go.
