‘Supernatural’ season 9 spoilers: When does production start up?

SupernaturalGiven that we’re still a little ways from “Supernatural” season 9 starting up filming, it is understandable that the excitement level is high. It’s a beloved show by many, and for a good reason, because it celebrates everything that is fast-paced, a little nerdy, and action-packed.

While you get a chance to see so much of this world on the show, don’t expect to get the same sort of in-depth detail about every facet of production … including the official start date. While producer Jim Michaels recently tweeted that production on the hit CW series is going to start up next month he did not give out specific start dates, likely in order to keep pandemonium from breaking out courtesy of some fans of the show making an unexpected appearance on set in Vancouver. (You know it would happen.)

This new season features a number of challenges for the Winchesters, including first of all how they start to recover following what happened with Crowley and the trails in the finale. Plus, you have Castiel back on earth, but in what role? Why did so many angels fall from the sky, and can Metatron’s betrayal be avenged in any way? These are all questions that we will hopefully have a few more answers to following the start of filming, and maybe at the show’s Comic-Con panel next month. (Stay tuned for details on who will actually be showing up this year.)

What do you hope to see on ‘Supernatural” when it does pick up for season 9? We want to hear all of your thoughts below! Meanwhile, you can also get some confirmation on the show’s episode count for the year over at the link here.
