‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 10 spoilers: Ellen Pompeo hints at ‘Calzona’ craziness

As we reported over the weekend, both the “Scandal” and the “Grey’s Anatomy” writers’ rooms have been temporarily vacated so that the teams can get some last-minute vacation time in before the start of the frantic season in production.

But what sort of things have the writers already but down onto paper for the new season starting up this fall? Based on what we’re hearing, we could be in store for some absolutely intense / insane moments courtesy of one of the show’s most-beloved couples. For evidence of this, all you have to see is a new Twitter post from series star Ellen Pompeo, where she cites one of the show’s most-notable writers in Dan Bucantinsky:

“’@danbucatinsky: .@EllenPompeo had a good day in the @greysabc writers room today!! #Season10. Gonna be a good one.’ For realz #CALZONAFANZ”“

What sort of options do we really see Callie and Arizona having in the new season? Sadly, there’s not many: Callie either finds a way to try and forgive Arizona (hard as it may be) and moves forward, or the two become so bogged down with drama and constant fighting that they end up splitting and breaking each other’s hearts for good. Neither are exactly ideal, but one of them will almost surely happen. We want to believe in them, but the anger and sadness between these two runs so deep at this point that it is going to be incredibly difficult for things to change.
