‘Britain’s Got Talent’ final: Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, and Psy booked to perform
In case you have not figured it out already, the “Britain’s Got Talent” final set for Saturday evening (or afternoon for those watching from North America) is meant to do so much more than just showcase some of the best performers from around Europe: It’s also an international part. With that in mind, why not have a roster of performers for the live show that include an American country singer, a British folk-rock star, and a Korean rapper that has taken the world by storm.
ITV announced this week that in between the performance and the results show, there would be an array of famed performers hitting the stage, including the likes of Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, and Psy. The first two artists would actually be singing together, whereas Psy would presumably perform his new smash hit “Gentleman” (otherwise known as the follow-up to “Gangnam Style,” which he has more or less retired after doing it almost everywhere last year).
As for right now, it is fairly difficult to tell just who is considered the favorite to actually end up winning “Britain’s Got Talent” this year, mostly because there is an array of interesting talent out there. The current favorite, based on reaction online, seems to be Attraction Shadow Theater, but you cannot rule out comedian Jack Carroll or any of the young singers that are still in the running. With so many great acts performing against each other, such things as song choice or placement in the show could matter more than anything else. (We’ll have our contestant rankings online tomorrow.)
