‘Downton Abbey’ season 4: ‘Coronation Street’s’ Helen Flanagan continues campaign
Can you believe that Helen Flanagan was on over 900 episodes of the classic British soap “Coronation Street”? That is simply astounding, and it’s easily understandable why the actress / model would want to do something else after all of this time aboard one show.
Earlier this month, we brought you a story about Flanagan’s interest in being a part of the “Downton Abbey” family, and now the story that we have to share is really all about why she wants to be a part of it. Speaking in an interview with Metro, the actress sites her complexion and her drive as two reasons why she could end up being a perfect fit for the show:
“I am naturally very pale, I think I could do Downton Abbey … I know the impression I do give off and seem bimbo-ish. If you do modelling and that, people don’t take you seriously – but I have been acting for, like, 12 years and have got a lot of experience. I would like to do more acting parts.”
Sadly for Flanagan, there is one thing still holding her back: Whether or not “Downton Abbey” is actually interested in having her around. For the time being, this is something that we really still do not know. If they were to ever cast her, it probably would not be this year, given that they already have so many episodes and story-lines ready to rock. Plus, we have a feeling that most of the guest cast for the new season set in stone.
If you do want to find out about what will be coming up for a number of the show’s characters, including a certain someone in Michelle Docker’s Mary that is a fan favorite, all you have to do is visit the link here.
