‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 4 finale review: Kat Graham, Paul Wesley shockers and more
You’ve been waiting for quite a long time, and on Thursday night’s new “Vampire Diaries” episode, we finally had the graduation that so many of you were hoping to see. With that being said, though, who felt that this ceremony was an afterthought in many ways to all of the other madness taking place in Mystic Falls?
The biggest objective that everyone had was trying to figure out how in the world to close that dastardly veil, which had sent a whole series of terrible people in their direction (but also some good ones). Yes, it was painful to see Alaric gone for the umpteenth time, but what surprisingly affected us the most was Paul Wesley’s subtle “see ya, Lexie,” when she ended up disappearing from his world.
This was a pretty big episode for Stefan, mostly because Elena begged him to take the cure, mostly because he was such a horrible vampire thanks to his urges. However, he didn’t take it, and what we had instead was really a twist for the ages. In an effort to save herself, Elena ended up using the cure on the last person in the known world who would ever want to have it: Katherine.
Now, we turn to the death toll. Bonnie appears to actually be gone now, but she did not want anyone to know the truth. We don’t know where in the world this will go, though we do now know where Klaus is heading: New Orleans, but without Caroline.
But perhaps all of this fails to compare with the real shocker at the tail end of the episode: As it turns out, Stefan also has a doppelganger … and his name is Silas. Yep, this is going to be troublesome, no? Paul’s going to have quite a bit to do in this new season.
What was your take on the “Vampire Diaries” finale: Were you surprised by what happened, and are you more or less excited about the show even without Klaus? If you want to read some more early news about the show’s fifth season, be sure to head on over to the link here.

I loved the 4th season and the finally was crazy. I liked it. I was hoping that elana would get back with stefan. Not that damon isn’t hot or anything. I was starting to like clause as well. The more caroline and mystic falls grew on him, he was actually very sweet even though he tried hidfing it. It will be sad to see him go but can’t wait to see his new show so he’s still going to be around =). And the whole thing with stefan. Well I cant wait to see season 5. very excited and can’t wait for the fall. Hopefully people realize stefan isn’t stefan.

For me this was the worst season ending yet!the one good witch, dead?stefan a doppelgänger?really??and Damon gets the girl! Stefan was Elena first love, she should’ve picked him.i read the books & loved them.although I expected the tv show to be different would’ve liked some originality

I liked it. Sure the Stefan thing kind of caught me off guard but I love Delena and this episode was a good one for me. Stefan and Caroline aren’t the only good characters either. Sure Elena’s a little bit of a mary-sue and Bonnie left which sucks but Jeremy is back, Matt and Rebekah are going to travel the world, and I’m excited to see what everyone will do without a witch on their side. And to be fair, she did pull a Joss whedon. She gave Klaus his own show. And I love Klaus. Why don’t you stop being so negative? If you think the show is so bad now, why don’t you just stop watching it? It may not fit to your standards, but it fits too mine. (Ps. I wish everyone would stop complaining about Elena being a mary-sue, in the books Elena was a mary-sue but a jerk mary sue. That’s kind of the point, we’re supposed to root for her while hating her at the same time)
