‘X Factor’ USA / UK goodness: Emblem3, Little Mix, Demi Lovato land GMA concerts
In what must be a move that keeps Simon Cowell up late at night with a smile on his face, acts either from or related to “The X Factor” are going to be featured three times on the upcoming “Good Morning America” summer concert series. Meanwhile, the only face between “American Idol” and “The Voice” to appear is Mariah Carey … and we already know that her relationship with the show is not exactly working out too well right now.
According to ABC, Emblem3 from this past season of the American version of the singing show will be performing live in New York City on June 7, and they will be featured in the same show by the girl group sensation from “The X Factor” UK in Little Mix. So where are Fifth Harmony? We know some of your may be wondering the answer to that question, and the simple answer is that they are still working on new music. Since Emblem3 was together before the show, they had an enormous advantage when it came to readying their new music (including new single “Chloe”) for release.
As for another singer with show ties, returning “X Factor” judge Demi Lovato has a show coming up three weeks later on the 28th. This is actually Demi’s second time performing on the show this year, as she stopped by just a matter of weeks ago for a mini-set of songs along with an interview. (You can hear “Give Your Heart a Break” below.)
The Emblem3 booking is probably the biggest news out of the group, mostly because Simon and the marketing teams at the labels found a way to book one of the “X Factor” USA acts on a major morning show, even without them having a successful single on the radio yet.
