‘Glee’ season 4 finale spoilers: Details on Jessica Sanchez, Lea Michele

GleeWant some proof about the rumors that “Glee” season 4 may end before the school year does at McKinley High? Well, we now have it courtesy of the synopsis for “All or Nothing,” the May 9 episode that also happens to be the finale.

Fox has just released the official synopsis for the hour, which really confirms all sorts of things, from the fact that the season ends at Regionals to the presence of Jessica Sanchez as Frida Romero. There’s also a hint in there that suggests that Rachel’s initial audition for the Broadway show “Funny Girl” seems to go fairly well:

“The members of New Directions travel to Regionals. But the competition gets tough when they go head-to-head with the Hoosierdaddies and lead singer Frida Romero (guest star Jessica Sanchez). Meanwhile, Rachel finds out if she gets the callback for “Funny Girl” on Broadway.”

The decision to cut off the school year in this episode seems to be for a pretty simple reason, as Ryan Murphy wants to try and milk some of his current students in McKinley Hugh for as long as he possibly can. After all, he likely realizes that the stories of Marley, Jake, and Kitty are not as captivating to fans as the other students that we have been invested in for years, and he has to find a great way to tie all of this together. Can we really focus on so many different worlds and characters forever? In some ways, the broad focus was season 4’s biggest weakness.
