‘Glee’ season 4, episode 19 preview: Lea Michele, Cory Monteith return
Thursday night’s new episode of “Glee” was just about as heartbreaking and as emotional as they come, so how you do move forward after something like this?
Luckily, this show is choosing to move forward by reminding us that some characters exist who we have not seen on the show in a while; We’re talking about none other than Finn, Rachel, Puck, Kurt, and Santana. The upcoming episode “Sweet Dreams” is going to show what is happening with some of the McKinley High alum, beginning with Finn and Puck at a college. Are they students? We don’t know when in the world they would have had the opportunity to sign up, but they are certainly partying like they are.
Meanwhile, Lea Michele’s character is preparing in New York City for the biggest audition for her life, as she is trying to land the lead role in Broadway’s “Funny Girl” using a song (in “Don’t Stop Believin'” by Journey) that we first heard her do in the pilot episode. It’s going to be nice to see the original group reunited again, but at the same time we have no idea how all of them are going to get there.
Of course, McKinley will not be completely abandoned here. Roz Washington (NeNe Leakes) will come on board as the replacement to Sue Sylvester, who seemingly is still taking the fall for the decision that Becky made to bring a gun to school. We’re also sure that the catfish storyline will be resolved soon, but it also seems to be so obviously Unique at the moment that it is hard to even really get excited about pursuing.
