ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 2 spoilers: Major trouble ahead for Fitz

President Fitzgerald Grant may be a pretty smart guy, but he is certainly not capable of getting himself out of sticky situations. If there’s really one thing that we’ve learned about him through watching various episodes of “Scandal” over the years (or even just 2013), this is it. The man has baggage in between the rigged election and what happened to Verna, and everything is going to get far worse for him before it ever gets better.

According to a new report from E! News, almost nothing within the President’s own history is going to be sacred and protected while Cyrus and his team try to find a way to explain away what is an enormous blunder for the administration. First, they go out and publicly declare that a man in Osbourne, who the President brought on himself in order to help oversee a key organization, is a mole that is working against the United States. Now, he’ll have to go out there and explain that he was wrong, and Osbourne was really a pawn in a larger game. So how do you do this? This is where Cyrus and his team are going to come into play.

As bad as all of this is, this will only be the beginning of Fitz’s woes at the end of the day. He still has to deal with the national man of mystery known as Jake, especially when it comes to the fact that Scott Foley’s character is right smack in the middle of a very bizarre relationship with one Olivia Pope. You know that this is not going to be an easy problem for him to deal with.
