‘Big Brother Canada’ rankings: Is AJ far better than he seems?
On this edition of “Big Brother Canada” rankings, we are asking a question that we never imagined that we would ask in a million years: has AJ managed to find a way to hoodwink all of us, and is actually some word of brilliant player? For some evidence of this, just look at the position in which he has found himself in during this game: he’s nobody’s target, he takes the pawn role well, and he is probably content to just float along until he feels like he has to win Head of Household.
Complain about weak players all you want, but this is a game that really favors them during the earlier portions of the game. It’s not a good thing to be a threat, and this is why you’ll see so many big personalities and big players near the upper end of this list.
10. Suzette (last week: 6) – She is leaving the game, and really should have left weeks ago. There’s really almost nothing else to say here, since she really didn’t do much to actually play when she was in the game.
9. Gary (10) – It’s a bad week for Gary Glitter all around. It’s bad enough when you are a physical threat, but why spend so much time with a woman in Suzette that is the house pariah?
8. Talla (3) – It may sound strange, but Talla seems to be targeted by a good many people in the house, especially the people who are in the dominant circles. Why? Andrew and AJ are better pawns than she is, and she is someone without many allegiances and is thus a threat.
7. Alec (8) – Juts by virtue of being the outgoing Head of Household, the target is going to be here on Alec. The real test, meanwhile, is going to be seeing if he can find a way to survive this week without going on the block.
6. Emmett (7) – He’s a huge physical threat, and likely Gary’s target if he wins since there is now some sort of bond with Alec, Topaz, and Peter.
5. Topaz (5) – There has been whispers by even Alec about whether or not Topaz should leave the game soon, and we do have to imagine that she will be considered. At the moment, though, there are just so many bigger fish to fry.
4. Jillian (2) – The two things going against Jillian at the moment are that she’s not that well-liked by everyone in the house, and she and Emmett are a pretty obvious part. The only scenario we really see her leaving is if the HoH really wants one of the two out, and Emmett wins the Power of Veto.
3. Andrew (1) – It’s hard to really imagine a world where Andrew goes home, but maybe if he is up against AJ some crazy things could happen.
2. Peter (4) – The difference between Peter and Jillian is that he has more friends in the house, and we can’t imagine very many scenarios where anyone would want him out over either Emmett or Alec. This buys him safety for a while, at least for a few more weeks.
1. AJ (9) – We thought this guy was going to be a serious player before the season, and then he turned into a joke. Now, he’s almost a serious player again. Why? Just answer this one question: who is really going to put him on the block, and have him be the target for eviction? Nobody. This guy has a golden ticket to almost anyone’s final five, and at that point all he needs to do is make sure people cannibalize.

Thanks for this great post! I truly believe that AJ is a very underestimated player! Hes definitely got some tricks up his sleeve, and right now he’s playing the floater persona very well :) I mean his occupation is a salesman for gods sake. He obviously would be very convincing

AJ knows the game well, is playing the non threatening under the radar approach and is warming up to people finally but in being everyone’s favorite pawn if plan A falls through nobody is going to be too sad about evicting AJ. He’s probably solid for a few weeks but he’d really have to flip the house to get himself in a majority position for the game. It’s possible because he is such a fan of the game and isn’t the typical ‘happy to be here’ floater but is anyone really going to trust him? I think Gary’s special power keep him safe this week. People know he is a threat but seem to want to use him at this point. I think Andrew and Emmit/Alec are in danger depending on which side wins HOH.
