‘Breaking Bad’ season 5: Cars used by Aaron Paul, Jonathan Banks to go on sale
We wrote an article earlier this weekend talking about just how big of an impact “Breaking Bad” has made on the entire community of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and pretty soon, we’re about to see just how big of an impact it made on a guy who rented out a pair of used cars.
According to a new report from TMZ, a man named Mike Faris, who owns the inappropriately-named Mike Faris Auto Wholesale, says that he is selling the 1984 Toyota Tercel owned by Aaron Paul’s character of Jesse Pinkman on the show, and is doing so based on whatever offers come in. The twist? Due to some strict instructions from the studio in Sony Pictures Television, he is now allowed to sell it until the show finishes up airing its final episodes this summer.
But wait, there’s more: Faris also is the owner of the car in which Jonathan Banks’ character of Mike was in when he was shot near the end of the first half of season 5, which is probably also going to fetch a pretty penny. “Breaking Bad” fans are among the most devoted of any out there, and they also are extremely passionate about even the most minute of details pertaining to the show such as what model of car some of the individuals characters drove.
AMC has not confirmed yet when the final eight episodes of the series are going to start airing, but we have to guess based on past history that it will probably debut in July, after the new season of “Mad Men” comes to a close.
Would you purchase a car that is nearly three decades old, just because it was driven by a swear word-loving TV character? If you want to take a new look behind the scenes of “Breaking Bad,” you can do so over at the link here.
