‘The Good Wife’ season 4 spoilers: ‘Mad Men’ alum to appear near finale

The Good WifeAre you not impressed with the guest cast of “The Good Wife” as it is? If you answer “yes” to this question, then you are first and foremost crazy … but we also have something for you now that may help to change your mind a little bit.

According to a new report from TVLine, “Mad Men” alum Cara Buono, who also has an upcoming guest appearance on “Castle,” is going to be appearing in the penultimate episode of season 4 as a woman who decides to hire Lockhart Gardner over what she feels is effectively a case of corporate bullying: her husband dies while on the job, and the company is doing just about everything that it can in order to keep her quiet (which we can probably assume to be related to PR in some shape or form).

Sadly, there’s no much else known about this character just yet, but Buono joins a stellar cast for the season that includes such people as Kristin Chenoweth, Maura Tierney, Matthew Perry, Christina Ricci, Nathan Lane, T.R. Knight, Michael J. Fox, Carrie Preston, Amanda Peet, John Noble (who will be appearing in the weeks ahead), and of course a massive list of other names that we simply cannot remember off the top of our heads. This show is effectively a guest star’s delight, since it provides opportunities for you to show off some dramatic chops thanks to some great writing and the opportunity to work alongside actors at the top of their game. (Just look at all the Emmy nominations for evidence.)
