‘Mad Men’ season 6: New photo has Don Draper looking at his past

Fans couldn’t be more excited about the upcoming 2 hour premiere of “Mad Men” season 6 coming back to AMC in April, especially since things were left with such a major cliffhanger concerning Don Draper and Megan’s marriage.

While Megan felt that Don helping her acting career meant that he was supporting her dreams and bringing them closer together as a couple, Don felt that it was actually pulling Megan away from him.  When we last saw Megan and Don together she was in the light, happy as can be, getting ready for a scene and Don was walking away from her into the darkness.  As if that wasn’t enough to worry Don and Megan fans (yes there are some of us out there) the last scene of the series has Don back in a very familiar spot – drinking alone at a bar with a beautiful woman asking him if he is alone.

We never saw if Don actually went off with this mystery woman or if he remained faithful to Megan, but from the new art work released by AMC to help promote the “Mad Men” season 6 premiere it looks like Don will be having his own internal battles this season about that very thing.  The new artwork shows Don holding a woman’s hand (she is cut from view, but it’s probably Megan), looking back at his old self, almost like he is wondering what it would be like to go back to that life.

There haven’t been a lot of spoilers when it comes to Don and Megan’s future and their marriage, but showrunner Matthew Weiner did say that their relationship will be one of the primary focuses during season 6 and that their marriage is definitely troubled at this point (even though Megan may not realize it at first).  If you haven’t had a chance to hear what Weiner had to say about “Mad Men” season 6 then you can check out our story here.
