‘Hart of Dixie’ season 2 finale spoilers: Zoe makes a confession to George
Now that Zoe and Wade are broken up on “Hart of Dixie” season 2 over his indiscretion with a groupie Zoe is back on the singles scene, but is she really looking for love or just some time alone?
Zoe’s break up with Wade was really difficult for her, not only because he cheated on her with some random, but because her feelings for Wade were pretty intense and she was really starting to move into a deeper relationship with him. It will likely be difficult for her to see any other sort of male suitor at this point, even the very cute Jonah Breeland, who has made his intentions of hooking up with Zoe fairly clear, doesn’t stand much of a chance with her. So is there anyone that might be able to get Zoe to open up to the idea of love again or is she going to be stuck in a Wade funk forever?
We know that in an upcoming episode Zoe will be on a flight back to New York to attend a wedding and while on this flight her seat companion will end up giving the young doctor some relationship advice, but this advice won’t only be about Wade – it will also be about George. Reports from Zap2it reveal that during an episode of “Hart of Dixie” season 2 there will be some major shakes ups in it when it comes to Zoe. She will make an unexpected confession to George which in turn will drive him to drink and Zoe will decide to leave Bluebell for a bit of a break. Will she admit that she wants to be with him? For as many Zoe/Wade shippers out there hoping that they will get back together, there are just as many Zoe/George shippers that will be delighted to hear that Zoe’s confession might involve these two getting together instead. Should make for a very interesting third season!
There is no new episode of “Hart of Dixie” season 2 this week (it’s not back until April 9th), so we’ll all have to wait a little while until it returns, but if you are still looking for more news and spoilers, then be sure to check out our story about Ruby’s return to Bluebell here.

Z/W is soooo much more interesting the G/W!! I’m thinking the third season develops a plot line saying Wade staged the whole cheating incident to let Zoe go since he was feeling inadequate and seemed to think Zoe deserved better! This would fix Wade’s reputation and reunite our favorite couple!! Yay!!

I was sooooo disappointed when Zoe was paired off with Wade. I’m glad they are finished. Now to get Zoe with George. They have the chemistry that made the show what it was in season one. I kind of lost interest while the whole wade Zoe story ran its course and only watched here and there when there was nothing better on. The idea of Zoe and George getting together has peeked my interest again.

I watched the first season from the beginning to the end and I have never been a Zade fan. You can see that both George and Zoe had a connection from the beginning. I don’t think the writers are too off. I do think they are not going to put George and Zoey together because at the beginning of the season we were told everything was going to be opposite of last season. I think this time you will find that instead of the guys coming after Zoe, she will be going after the guys (at the end of last season the guys were going after her). She will probably tell George that while being with Wade she discovered that what is always a part of your plan isn’t always what works. She will also tell him that for some reason she cannot let George go (which could lead to him drinking and it not really being fair to him). He would be stuck in a predicament of wanting to be with Tansy and then Zoe always holding him back because although she is in love with Wade, she remembers the times she had with George in season 1 and likes the idea of George. I watched an episode between Lavon and Lemon and Lavon makes a statement “I am trying to move on, but you will not let me.” I am pretty sure there will be similarities in what George is told when Zoe talks to him. As for Gloriana being a guest on the finale, I listened to the song and I am not sure what it will be in relation to. I kept thinking of the napkin both George and Zoe had from their trip to New Orleans, but I don’t know if that will have any signifcance. I think it might be more in relation of Zoe finding something of Wade’s and cannot get it out of her head. Not sure though. I just have always wanted George and Zoe together, but I know the writers have a direction. I haven’t been upset this whole season even though Wade and Zoe have been together most of the season. I am playing devils advocate here, but I think both Zade and George fans should just let it play out. It shouldn’t be the determining factor on whether or not you keep watching the show. I think on the Road again could also be an episode of George getting his heart broken by Tansy, then Zoe says what she does to him and he decides maybe it is time to move back to New York himself. I don’t know. I think the writers could make George more interesting, but I like that he is a sweet guy. Nice guys always finish last though and I think that is what will get George in the end. He will put his needs aside for others to be happy. I can see him being happy for Wade and wanting him and Zoe both to give their love a chance. I have felt that this whole season with him. Sometimes what you love the most you have to set it free. I remember watching One Tree Hill and Lucas ended up with Peyton, who I always thought he would. He had dated Brooke and Lindsay and couldn’t decide who he wanted to marry or be with. I feel the same way about this love triangle. In the end the people that are meant to be together will be. I think Zoe will date Jonah, then her and Wade will be together again. George will leave for a while and letting Zoe go is what he will need to do to be happy.

Hart of Dixie is my favorite show. I love all of the actors. I do think Zoe should be with George. I love him. He is such a good guy and has really shown his personality since he dumped Lemon. Wade is being Wade. You really have to love the guy but he is dioing what Wade does. I think he likes the chase better than the catch.

The show carries the undertones of finding the diamond in the rough.. Like Zoe thinking that New York, this big, beautiful, and picture-perfect place is her home. But as we are seeing in the show she is finding that it is Bluebell, the little overlooked city, the last place that she ever thought she would call home, has become the home she holds in her heart. George and Wade are just more examples of that. George is picture-prefect; great job, good looking, great guy, everything Zoe wants. But like New York, he doesn’t have the unseen, small-town charm that speaks to her heart.. Wade has that. He is the diamond in the rough, the place where despite not being what she imagined, holds her heart, just like Bluebell. Thats the whole point of the show….and probably too why her last name is “Hart” and the show is called “Hart of Dixie”…undertones folks, undertones.

* casting two actors WITHOUT chemistry in George & Zoe*

[If the writers believed that George and Zoe had great chemistry together they would have paired them together long before this.Like at end of season 1 or start of season 2 or at any time in season 2.]
The sad truth, well for Zeorge fans anyway. The writers have ZERO FAITH in those two. The article above is just blasphemous, They are many Zoe/Wade fans than Zoe/George. Thats a FACT, why deny the obvious. This is the most uneven triangle ever in history, in shows where both couples are compelling and have chemistry, the fanbase is more even. Zoe/George have ZERO chemistry as a romantic couple, hence why 99% of the fanbase ships Zade. The show gave the audience no other option but Zade. Their chemistry is off the charts and they keep telling their story.
Zade is endgame, the writers have time and time again shown that Zade is the main love story of HOD and their plans changed a long time ago, which were never really set in stone to begin with, this show isnt based on any established source material . Its time to accept reality, you are being led on, and that can hurt more in the end, just accept it now really. You can continue to ship and enjoy Zeorge, and still accept the truth. The writers know they failed with casting two actors with chemistry with George & Zoe, Wade>>>>>George hence why they keep on paying lip service but not delivering. False hope thats dangerous and cruel, and not liking the HOD writers for doing this to some fans. The “OTP” was never really set in stone ever since the beginning, it was supposed to be a love triangle though ZG had the upper hand coz G is the show golden boy but then ZW took the CW by storm and won title of OTP of series, by a wide margin, fair and square. Fans realised W was as much as golden boy too and much much more, charismatic, good lucking, funny etc. And the two of them have sparks

The only way you can describe what Wade and Zoe have is “magic”.
The actors Wilson and Rachel have great chemistry together and that is why so many of us are invested in W/Z.
George and Zoe don’t have that “magic” . In other words Scott and Rachel dont have any on screen chemistry and that is why the writers or producers have never got them together.
Was it lazy writing in the way they broke them up, yes. Do the writers realize it now, yes.
In a promo for S02 E17 Zoe is seen kissing Jonah sitting on a rock but in the actual episode we never saw that. I wonder why the producers decided not to show that scene after all.

Sorry Crabapple Ct, you lost your credibiliy with “no chemistry” even if “George and Zoe can hold the show” was really funny.

If the writers believed that George and Zoe had great chemistry together they would have paired them together long before this..Like at end of season 1 or start of season 2 or at any time in season 2.
Wade and Zoe are the end game. Having Wade cheat was sloppy writing.
If we wanted someone who likes the same things as us we would date our girlfriends.
The writers know exactly who they want together and it isn’t G/Z!!!!!!

I stop watching because of Zoe & Wade they were wrong for each other from the beginning. There was no chemistry, intimacy, or romance; the only thing they did was f**k. I give Wade credit that is all he wanted from the beginning and he stay that way to the end. You Zade people I don’t know what you guys was looking at; she was changing herself to fit into his world. He made fun of her when she wanted him to try doing things she liked. If you remember the time George/Tangy and Wade/Zoe went to dinner & a show how that turned out. Whenever, Wade made plans for them it started with sex and ended with sex.
George/Zoe are two peas in a pod. I believe they can hold the show. I don’t know how he and Tangy will break up. I don’t know what Zoe could tell George that would start him drinking.

I love HoD but I really don’t care about Wade and Zoe. It’s definitely not the reason I watch the show. I love all the quirkyness and the great characters in Bluebell. I really enjoy the show every week but what I am really waiting for is for the writers to finally start building up to a great Zoe and George pairing. I am convinced that they will be great together and not boring at all. From what little we’ve seen of them together I thought they had great chemistry from the pilot episode on.

Thank you Lily Rose..no they don’t.
I think it was cheap and inconsistent writing..
I think it is Wade that needs to forgive Zoe..for starting a relationship with Wade while she still had unresolved feelings for George “golden boy” Tucker.
Shame on you Zoe..
I for one will always believe in Wade. So what if he cheated. Half of Bluebell seems to have and it is ok for them but not for him. Like Lavon acting all high and mighty like he can talk!!!!
As I said lazy inconsistent writing.

GZ shippers call Wade a cheater but wanted George to kiss Zoe in S01E07. They have no problem with George being a cheater.

i watch this show from Australia and there are a lot of fans in Australia and i am definitely a Wade and Zoe fan and that is the only reason why I watch HOD.
I think what the G & Z fans are forgetting is that George is a cheater as well. I think they need to revisit season 1 and look at some of the episodes where G&Z nearly kissed or gave each other those “looks”. And as @Lara said “he stood his fiancee up at the altar of 15 years and called it a grand romantic gesture”(seriously)… and told Lemon he was in love with someone else. So if all the George fans think he is pure of heart are sadly mistaken. And as for Zoe, for the first half of season 2 wasn’t she just having sex with Wade just until George found himself. Why does that make her any better than Wade. So for all the G&Z fans who think these 2 are so innocent think again.
As far as I am concerned Wade is just as good as those two if not better because at least he is who he is and doesn’t pretend to be someone he is not.
Also lets not forget about the other cheaters in Bluebell. Like Lemon and Lavon!!
As for who the writers will end up putting together is anyone’s guess.

@Steph- i respect your opinion, and yes there might be many ZG fans that don’t go online, but so might be ZW fans. but huge majority of those who are online are ZW fans, it’s clearly visible on facebook page/forums/in comments, so if such a majority is ZW i wouldn’t expect it to change drastically if you asked every fan that doesn’t post online. If ZW fans are in majority online it’s most likely true they are in majority in general and not just online. After all it’s not like all ZW fans go online and GZ fans don’t.
P.S. I hope you get what i’m trying to say here, i’m not a native speaker

1) Focus on what you like than what you don’t like : tell the one who is bashing some comments.
2) I believe there are way more GZ fans than some of you all think : so, why the need to say it? To convince yourself?
3) The whole HoD fanbase is NOT online : yes, George and Zoe have MANY fans who are just too poor to buy an Internet subscription LOL

WOW. These comments! Well, I believe there are way more GZ fans than some of you all think. The whole HoD fanbase is NOT online. So why don’t we just post positive comments instead of negative ones. Focus on what you like than what you don’t like.

okay i have to add someting, why are you trying to prove there are just as many GZ fans as ZW fans? it’s obvious it’s not like that, seriosuly just go on ANY forum/facebook page and you’ll realize that at the start. or you can just read comments on this page. and whether you want it or not, fans and media control the show. i’m not saying there are none ZG shippers, but clearly not as much as ZW shippers, even media and the CW network loves them and besides LG you can’t really say that about GZ. and why do you ZG shippers keep calling us immature? because we are in the majority and express our opinion? well that’s not a good reason imo.
@Jeanne- you are totally right, this article just misconcepts everything
@Lara @Leslie @Chris- big probs

I’m surprised at the immaturity of the comments coming from some fans. Why are you all so worked up about the writers comments? anyways glad to hear about some future movement for GZ. Love them.

“For as many Zoe/Wade shippers out there hoping that they will get back together, there are just as many Zoe/George shippers” Not to be disrespectful or anything, but I haven’t met any…. and I like George’s character and his new personality is fun and I think he owes to Tansy who, btw is his opposite. What I hate, and I think most of Z/W shippers do, are those lines like “when the stars align” or “we will fin each other…” come on how old are the writers, 14? That makes look G/Z inevitable at the end, and if it’s like that, why bother watch the whole series or why make Z/W that cute and interesting to destroy it in half an episode? make George look good? Well, it didn’t work. That polarized the audience event more and make not only Zade shippers mad and hate George even more but the ones who just enjoyed the show, not shipping any particular couple, take sides and not necessarily George’s. Let’s not forget that he stood up his fiancee (15 years of relationship) at the altar and called it a “grand romantic gesture”…. come on!!!!! And please, no Wade/Lemon. I love both characters, they are the best, but a nice platonic friendship is what they both need and it could be hilarious. I don’t want an everybody have sex with everybody kind of show. We have had enough of that.

“They have nothing in common” it’s the favorite “argument” of the three GZ fans. But Zoe was happy with Wade (her words) THAT is important.
Maybe GZ come from New York, maybe they love Woody Allen, that’s enough to call them soulmates?
Chemistry in a couple is important, GZ has ZERO chemistry and it’s just embarassing to watch them in a “romantic” scene. Even Rachel and Scott don’t seem believe in it.

I am sure that at actual concept, George was the intended love interest, but as with a lot of these shows (Dawson’s already mentioned) they did not anticipate just how much fans would fall in love with Wade. I agree that a shake up was bound to happen and I can live with it for now… but if this doesn’t get a third season and it ends with George and Zoe, then it would be a rubbish way to end. As for the comments that Zoe has nothing in common with Wade… isn’t that life? How dull would life be if you were going out with a carbon copy of yourself?

You’re right. If writers made Wade a cheater to glorify George, it doesn’t work. He isn’t an angel and he is the last person who can judge Wade or anyone. Calling Wade “a monster” really? wasn’t he engaged to Lemon when he kissed (ewwwww) Zoe?
99% of the HOD fandom is Team Zade. George and Zoe barely interact and George is become an useless character in season 2. And even him being with Zoe won’t change the fact that he’s the Dawson of the show.

I don’t know who is funnier, the writer who thinks there are as many shippers for George and Zoe as there are for Wade and Zoe or the girl who thinks George and Zoe can make the ratings with their three fans.
There is a reason if George and Zoe didn’t happen : they will be the death of the show! You can’t create chemistry.
By the way, nice try but these spoilers are just a troll (for keeping the three George and Zoe viewers?) because :
*************************SPOILERS*****************************
1/ George tells Zoe she’s still into Wade.
2/ Zoe admits she wasn’t in her right mind when she made her confession (confession NOT in the finale)
3/ Zoe talks about Wade all the plane and more.
Buy you’re right, give G&Z “fans” hope, that’s all they have.

Finally! I’m happy that George and Zoe are getting their chance for their stars to align. Kudos to this writer for showcasing that George/Zoe viewers do exist and watch the show all the time because they love Hart of Dixie as a whole. Ratings don’t lie…while some are not tuning in over their support for Wade, the ratings are holding strong and rising :)

Yuck! George and Zoe!! The worst thing that could ever happen. B-O-R-I-N-G!!! Unless, they will totally change George’s personality to make him and Zoe an interesting and a full-on chemistry couple like Wade and Zoe are. I think not!!! No matter what they do, Wilson Bethel just has it in truck loads of personality as Wade and chemistry with Zoe. Jeez, the writers screwed it up royally by making Wade cheat when he was changing and really hooked on and falling in love with Zoe, and now this. Could the show go in any worse of a direction?? What next Wade and Lemon??? Another horrible and not at all believable scenario.
And one more thing, there is no way there are as many shippers for George and Zoe as there are for Wade and Zoe…
