NBC’s ‘Community’ season 4 spoilers: Another documentary on the way
“Community” has already brought back some returning favorites (including the Germans and “Inspector Spacetime”) for the show’s fourth season; and now, we are seeing the return of something else rather familiar in a documentary from one Abed Nadir.
“Advanced Documentary Filming” is going to be Abed’s attempt to tell a story that is very different than any that have come before it, as we will finally be getting an opportunity to see the real story of just what Chang / “Kevin” is up to upon returning to Greendale after “losing his memory.” But is he really telling the truth, and if not, what are ultimately his motives in re-immersing himself at the school? Hopefully, this episode will give us some answers … and also try very hard to be funny at the same time.
Check out the official synopsis for the half-hour below:
“As the campus strives to get to the bottom of Chang’s (Ken Jeong) memory loss, Dean Pelton (Jim Rash) enlists the group to help secure a grant for further medical research and Abed (Danny Pudi) films the activities for a documentary. Jeff (Joel McHale), however, suspects there is more to Chang’s memory loss than meets the eye.”
This episode is going to come one week after we have the opportunity to meet Jeff Winger’s father (James Brolin) for the first time, which is surely going to contain a number of emotions all of its own. Hopefully, somewhere within these two episodes the show will start to pick up a little bit more steam after a weak start, and prove that there is still hope for this to be the great series that it once was.
Do you think that this episode sounds promising, at least based on the idea behind it? If you want to read our full “Community” review pertaining to the Germans’ return, you can do so over here.
