‘Girls’ season 2, episode 7 preview: Hannah and Jessa talk it out
If you have felt as though “Girls” season 2 has been much too light in the Jessa department, you are likely be very pleased by what is going to be coming up on Sunday night. Why? Hannah is going to have plenty of bonding time with her courtesy of a trip that was sparked in one of the strangest ways ever.
As you can see in the clip below, Hannah was convinced ultimately into making the trip with her just so that Jessa would not have to go it along seeing her estranged father for the first time in a long time. Just the mere fact that she wanted to visit her father in the first place is surprising given the circumstances: she is still getting over what happened with Thomas-John, and this is a man who hardly serves as a source of relief.
To make matters even worse for Jessa, Hannah points out below that it is possible that she only ended up coming thanks to what could have been a “butt text” containing random letters without any sort of rhyme or reason to them. Considering that her parents are modern-day hippies in many ways, we anticipate there being some friction here when comparing Jessa’s big-city ideas and ambitious to people who are from a much simpler place, and are more interested in living off the land or being in tone with some sort of spirituality. This has been an experimental season at times when it comes to some characters not appearing in every episode, and we anticipate this episode continuing that trend.
Do you want to see this intimate portrait of where Jessa comes from, or would you prefer something that is a little bit more of a panoramic view of all of the women? Be sure to share your thoughts below, and you can see another clip from Sunday’s “Girls” season 2 episode over at the link here.
