‘Boardwalk Empire’ season 4 spoilers: ‘Breakout Kings’ star lands important role
“Boardwalk Empire” will begin production on its fourth season a little bit later in the year, and in preparation for that, we are starting now to hear a little bit about the faces who will be joining Nucky Thompson on the screen this fall.
According to a new report coming in from Deadline, former “Breakout Kings” actor Domenick Lombardozzi is slated to recur throughout the upcoming episode as Al Capone’s older brother Ralph. Most of the details surrounding his specific part are still under wraps, but this brings in that much more a dose of history into the Prohibition Era series.
For HBO, they have to be thrilled with getting Lombardozzi back on the network considering how rich of a history the guy has there. As a matter of fact, “Brekaout Kings” is one of the few non-HBO series that he has appeared in, having already done roles on such shows as “The Wire,” “Entourage,” and “Oz” over the course of his career.
There is no firm premiere date yet for “Boardwalk Empire” season 4 yet, but the general assumption here is that it, like past installments, will kick off at some point in September. While the show still had a pretty good year in 2012 even without Michael Pitt, here’s to hoping they find a way to bring some more attention to themselves. For whatever reason, this longtime awards-show darling ended up going under the radar for most of the fall as “Homeland” started to take over.
