‘Girls’ season 2, episode 5 preview: First video of Patrick Wilson

Hannah Horvath is about to run into a gifted man … or at least the guy who played the character on the short-lived CBS drama. Patrick Wilson is set to make his first appearance on “Girls” season 2 Sunday night as a new love interest to Lena Dunham’s character, and he is going to be someone who is rather different than anyone she has dated before.

As to why, it is pretty easy to count the ways. For one, Wilson’s character is significantly older than Adam (who we miss very badly at the moment) or Donald Glover’s Sandy, and he also happens to have his own house. While it is not revealed in the video below, we know that he works as a doctor.

What we do learn from the clip is that he and Hannah meet up in a pretty interesting way: she continually dumps some of Grumpy Cafe’s trash in his bins, and in walking by one day she manages to strike up a conversation with him. As to whether or not she continues to work as a barista at this establishment, however, remains to be seen. She clearly does not appear to be happy with her place of employment, but she is also not currently in a place in which she can afford to quit her job. She has no roommate unless Jessa decides to take Elijah’s open spot, and even if this happens it is not exactly like she has a job or money coming in (unless Thomas-John actually does pay her off).
