‘Girls’ season 2 spoilers: Lena Dunham hints at more clothes for Hannah
If you was one thing you could say about last week’s “Girls” season 2 episode (save for the fact that it was very funny and quite possibly insane), it’s that Lena Dunham spent almost the entirety of it wearing very little skin
… at least when it comes to her top. Even when she had something on, it was a yellow tank top (which she traded for with a guy) that left very little to the imagination.
So is this season really going to stay as mature as it has been for the first few episodes? Not necessarily. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly as a part of her recent cover story, the Golden Globe-winner announced that the show is actually going to tone down a little bit on topless Hannah in the weeks ahead, and allow her to find a number of other ways to get herself in trouble:
“She does other humiliating things, but [it] is really just relegated to just a few episodes.”
Granted, this does not mean that the rest of the season will be more or less racy in this department, but Dunham obviously (and rather smartly feels as though there should be something else that Hannah can use to identify herself with viewers rather than just something that justifies the show’s placement on HBO. After all, the sight of seeing someone in surprising situations with little clothes on tends to lose the “surprising” part after you have seen it a few times … or in this case, more times than we can count.
Sunday night’s new “Girls” episode, as a way in which to avoid the massive Super Bowl monster, is also going to air on Saturday. If you want to find out more, all you have to do is visit the story over at the link here.
