‘The Bachelor’: Chris Harrison compares Tierra LiCausi to Courtney Robertson
Well, we knew this question was coming. In watching some of Tierra’s LiCausi’s antics on “The Bachelor” this season, which include her throwing tantrums, fighting with other women, and somehow still getting roses out of it, there is quickly one past contender from last season that she reminds of: Courtney Robertson. Both are masters of manipulating the game, are fiercely competitive, and in some ways Tierra almost looks like a shorter version of Courtney.
Luckily, the show’s in Chris Harrison feels the same way. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, the host says the reason that Courtney and Tierra come across so poorly on TV is just because of the hyper-competitive way in which they view the game; and now that she is watching it at home, it is probably an eye-opening experience:
“Go back to Courtney [Robertson]: It’s just the way they go about dating … I guarantee you, Tierra does this in her real life. I think it’s when you shine a big light on it and a camera, that you’re like, ‘Ooh. Wow.’ I bet she watches some of this back and she’s like, ‘I’m kinda manipulative.'”
It is almost important to remember here, especially for the sake of Sean, that Tierra also likely has a score of redeeming qualities that, like Courtney, are probably not being shown on TV. After all, neither Sean nor Ben Flajnik are idiots, and the only downside to these massively poor edits is that it makes the guys come across as either shallow or ignorant to what these people are really like. Ultimately, what we see on “The Bachelor” is just a fraction of what these people are.
Do you think that Tierra (who sadly is not really making her thoughts on this season public right now) regrets much of what she has done on this season so far? If you want to read our full review for Monday night’s episode, you can do so here.
