‘Glee’ season 4 spoilers: First look at Chris Colfer’s Lima return (plus a wedding)

On February 14, love is going to be in the air on “Glee” more so than with any traditional Valentine’s Day. Why? Over one year after the engagement first happened, Will and Emma are going to be getting married in Lima for an episode entitled “I Do.” Not only that, but we are also going to be seeing just about every character who has been with the show since the beginning (even Amber Riley, who has been gone for most of the past several months) back in the Ohio town to wish the couple well.

Want to know more details concerning what you should expect? Sadly, the official synopsis does not really give much away:

“Will and Emma’s wedding is finally here, and it lands on the day of romance and love: Valentine’s Day. The former and current members of New Directions reunite in Lima to celebrate.”

This wedding will mark the first opportunity for Kurt and Blaine to spend time together since Christmas, and Ryan Murphy himself has already shared online that Chris Colfer’s character is going to find himself making out with his ex in a car at some point during this episode. In addition to that, a number of other former couples are going to have a little bit of time together this week … and there will also be some other pairings that completely catch even longtime fans off-guard.

As for Will and Emma themselves, it’s really just going to be nice to see Matthew Morrison on the show again. He was such a huge part of the show in season 1, but it feels as though the writers have just struggled to know what to do with him ever since New Directions won Nationals. It’s a shame, too, as “Glee” was always best when he was very involved in the story.
