‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 9, episode 12 preview: Meredith and Derek try to deal
While there have been the occasional story on “Grey’s Anatomy” as of late regarding Meredith’s surprise pregnancy, it really has not impacted much of her life thus far. However, this looks as though it is going to change on Thursday night when a certain Dr. Grey’s emotions start to get the better of her.
We have to imagine that it first and foremost has to be rather frustrating for Meredith to be pregnant: you already don’t have a great deal of time to be intimate with your husband thanks to your work schedule alone, and now it is about to ramp up to a whole new level courtesy of the fact that you spend many of your intimate moments alternating between sad, aroused, and excited. Ultimately, it doesn’t really seem as though this “private moment” between husband and wife in the sneak peek below is going to go anywhere.
Meanwhile, Meredith’s mood swings are going to start having an impact on some of the interns, including a certain Shane Ross who makes the mistake of asking Derek if he can scrub in with him while Meredith, who believes is supposed to work with the intern, is actually standing right there. If you think that Derek is going to have a hard time dealing with Meredith at the moment, just wait until you see how her being pregnant is going to make it much harder for the interns to do their job.
While there is no target date for Ellen Pompeo’s character to give birth just yet, we would expect to see it happen at some point by the end of this season, mostly because this would be a very annoying cliffhanger to stretch out until next year.
