‘Game of Thrones’ season 3 spoilers: New dialogue, scenes shown off in new video
While anyone who is a “Game of Thrones” fan would likely be interested in seeing a full season 3 trailer at the moment, at least HBO is being kind enough to give us some sort of taste as to what is coming up on the show; and in this case, that involves the latest video blog that the network put out earlier this week.
Before we get into finer details, let’s open by talking about the flashier stuff: this is the first clip to really give us any sort of dialogue from the new season, even though it is presented to us in a way that is far different than what it will look like on screen. (Personally, we’re just glad that some of it involved Peter Dinklage’s Tyrion Lannister.) We also get a better sense as to the costume and set design, which is every bit as fantastic as you would expect for a show with this sort of pedigree.
When you consider all of the effort that is put into this show, it is almost ironic that the word “budget” is something uttered by Bryan Cogman in the video, and it comes as a cruel slap back to reality. This is at the end of the day still a TV show, and that is something that is admittedly rather easy to forget at times when you think about how top-notch the production is. There’s no higher compliment that we can give, as even though it feels cinematic, the producers and writers are dealing with a much smaller wad of cash than they would be on the big screen.
Just in case this video still was not enough for you, don’t worry: there will be an official season 3 trailer coming in the weeks ahead, as you know HBO will be doing everything that they can to prepare “Game of Thrones” for its March 31 premiere.
