‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 6 spoilers: Amy, Sheldon, and a stunner

“The Big Bang Theory” may be off for a couple of weeks now, but as the show starts to build up to its Valentine’s Day spectacular, you should probably expect an episode that will be remembered for a long time moving forward by fans.

First things first, let’s just say that this episode (which we are assuming to be the 16th of the season, unless there is no new episode airing on January 31) will feature a storyline involving Sheldon and Amy that will make many fans swoon, mostly because it is the sort of plot that will force our master scientist to try and be sweet to his girlfriend … even though he is not quite sure on how to do that just yet.

Speaking to TVLine in a new interview, executive producer Bill Prady teases this story by giving the following message about it:

“Amy tells Sheldon that she got him the perfect gift … And Sheldon doesn’t like gifts, so it’s a very difficult time for Sheldon trying to reciprocate.”

The only other hint that we do have at the moment is that the gift is not going to be sexual in nature, so do not expect Sheldon to go from 0 to 60 in the span of 30 minutes when it comes to having or wanting a physical relationship. This will be an exciting moment, but there is something else coming in episode 16 that will make a good many fans of the show surprised: a proposal. Who is it? We don’t know the answer to that just yet, but there are a few possible candidates:

1. Amy and Sheldon (though this seems unlikely)

2. Leonard and Penny (and there is evidence of good news coming up)

3. Raj and some inanimate object (well, the show has been pretty cruel to him over the years; it wouldn’t surprise us)

4. Howard’s mom and her new boyfriend
