‘The Bachelor’ preview: Kacie Boguskie vs. Sean Lowe’s ‘friend zone’
A number of young women are going to face some pretty substantial challenges on Monday night’s new episode of “The Bachelor,” but we are not sure that any of them have more of an uphill battle right now than Kacie Boguskie. The former fourth-place finisher from Ben Flajnik’s season is trying to win a chance at love with Sean Lowe, but the problem here is that not only are many of the women going to have an almost-instant bias against her (for pretty obvious reasons), but she also has to contend with the fact that she met Sean before the show, and the two were nothing more than friends at the time.
So what will she do about this? Anticipate a big move from Kacie during the episode, but also be sure to see quite a bit of drama elsewhere. Based on the synopsis below, it also appears as though a challenge all about modeling for a romance novel is going to cause problems courtesy of one of the women who actually is a model in real life. What a shocker:
“Thirteen women join Sean at a sprawling Beverly Hills estate for the opportunity of a lifetime: The bachelorettes will compete in a photo shoot to see who will win a deal to appear on three Harlequin romance novel covers. Lesley M. gets the race kick-started, sneaking a kiss as she and Sean pose for their cowboy scene. Kristy sparks a jealous frenzy when she seduces Sean in front of the other women during her glamour shoot. But will all this one-upmanship matter when the winner is named? At the after party, sparks continue to fly as one pouty woman distances herself from the group, and Katie questions whether or not she should stay. Meanwhile, Kacie B. attempts to graduate from the ‘friend zone’ to love interest by spending some alone time with Sean.”
Our guess here is that Kristy is going to be edited to be the Courtney of this season: a confident woman that knows what she wants, and is often not afraid to cast all of the other women aside in order to get it.
