‘Dexter’ season 8 spoilers: Is a time jump coming?
When we first found out about the shocking ending to “Dexter” season 7, there was only one question that was really on our mind: just what in the world would the show opt to do now? It seemed to make little sense for there to be a massive time jump (as we saw between seasons 4 and 5 and seasons 5 and 6) when you consider that the real thing we want to see now is the aftermath to LaGuerta’s death.
Depending on how you view the latest bit of news, though, it is possible that some sort of jump could be coming up. According to TVLine, producers for the Showtime hit are reportedly trying to find a six-year old child in order to play a four-year old on the show; and unless there are suddenly some other characters that end up appearing in the future, you have to think that one Harrison Morgan is who is being talked about here.
But shouldn’t the current actor already playing Harrison be around the right age? It is possible that they want to show a little bit more progression with the child than they could have otherwise, just as it is also possible that they just want to re-cast the role for whatever reason. All we hope is that they don’t push the show forward too far into the future (if this is in fact Harrison that is being cast here) so that we lose some of the emotional impact immediately following what happened. After all, this is someone who every character on the show had a tie to.
What do you think is going on with Harrison on “Dexter” season 8? Be sure to share some of your thoughts with a comment below, and you can read some more scoop about some new characters coming up over at the link here.
