‘The X Factor’ UK: James Arthur claims yet another chart victory
For James Arthur, the good news just keeps coming when it comes to his debut single “Impossible” following his time on “The X Factor” UK. He may not have scored the famed “Christmas #1,” but he has been on the top of the singles charts at just about every moment ever since.
Multiple reports have confirmed that not only has James been able to keep will.i.am and Britney Spears from the top spot with their new single “Scream & Shout,” but that the song has also achieved another major milestone: selling its millionth copy. When you consider that the proceeds from this song are going directly to charity, this means that many people in need are going to receive a massive amount of help.
A single reaching a million copies sold in America alone is a pretty gigantic achievement, as you have to remember just how many people you are relying on to actually spend their money in support of you. However, America has five times the population of Great Britain, and they have still found a way to get this achievement for James. It’s ultimately going to be a while before we see or hear anything from him stateside, Simon Cowell’s plan will likely be pretty similar to Cher Lloyd and One Direction: release an album, then wait around half a year to start working on an American publicity tour. Considering how well it worked for those two acts, it would end up working well here.
How big of a global star can you anticipate James being? We want to hear your thoughts below! If you want to see some more of the latest “X Factor” UK news when it comes to Rylan Clark and Kye Sones, be sure to head on over to the link here.
