‘Once Upon a Time’ season 2 spoilers: A different kind of reunion

When Mary Margaret and Emma returned to Storybrooke on the season 2 finale for “Once Upon a Time,” much was made of the fact that they would be reunited with their family. When you are a pirate, however, much of your family is your crew … and there has not bee much made just yet about a different sort of reunion that is going to be going on here.

Speaking in a new interview with TVLine, Colin O’Donoghue claims that there would be plenty of story still to come featuring Captain Hook and his onetime sidekick Snee, who has since in Storybrooke taken up residence working alongside Belle’s father. Will he join his former captain now that he realizes that he is in the tiny town? You have to bet on it, and the two will have a mission carved in stone pretty quickly: trying to find a way to take down Rumpelstiltskin.

When you consider just what happened to Hook at Rumple’s hands in the fairytale world that was, you have to remember straight out of the gate here that the cycle of one of these two attack the other’s love interest is going to continue. First, Hook ran off with Rumple’s wife (even if she was willing); then, Rumple killed her at his own hand. Now, O’Donoghue says that it is very possible that Belle will play some sort of role in just what unfolds between the two characters … and by “some sort of role,” it’s fair to say that a kidnapping of sorts is likely on the horizon (even if Belle’s relationship status is rather undefined at this given moment).
