’30 Rock’ season 7, episode 7 preview: The wedding debate

We love how most shows try and make some sort of enormous deal out of the weddings that they put on the small screen; however, when it comes to “30 Rock” the show is really more or less treating the upcoming “nuptials” (if they even happen at all) of Liz and Criss as if they are in just about any other episode. Of course, one of the primary reasons for that could be that the two are not excited getting married with all of the traditional bells and whistles.

As we see in the preview video below for Thursday night’s new episode, Liz and Criss seemingly come up to the conclusion that they are going to be married while in the middle of a conversation actually mocking married. In some ways, this actually mirrors what we saw from Miranda on “Sex and the City,” though a little bit sillier.

During the episode, what we do know is that the two are going to make preparations to go down to City Hall in order to say their “I do’s,” but the real question when it comes to this show is whether or not someone close to her (such as Jack or Jenna) could end up talking her out of it in favor of doing something more traditional. Regardless, we’ll be happy at least so long as somebody gives a memorable speech (preferably Tracy Jordan).
