‘How I Met Your Mother’ season 8 spoilers: First photo of Seth Green!

As you may have heard already, there is a “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” reunion coming up on “How I Met Your Mother” season 8, as Seth Green and Alyson Hannigan are teaming up really for the first time since the Joss Whedon show ended so many years ago for a story that will have them working rather closely with each other.

Based on the photo that Hannigan poster on her Twitter account, it appears as though the pair’s first scene together is probably going to be happening in the past based on Lily’s hairdo here alone. We know that Green’s character is a guy who seems to remember a great deal about Marshall and Lily during their time at school, but for whatever reason, neither of them have any recollection about him at all. We have a feeling that this will not exactly make him pleased, and hilarity will ensue as Marshall and Lily make themselves feel really guilty and try to figure out why they do not remember this guy. (Personally, we are hoping he turns out to just be some creep that they never actually met at all.)

All that is known about Green’s appearance for now is that his episode will likely air either near the end of this year or in early 2013, and should give our favorite married couple something more to do. The biggest issue for Marshall and Lily thus far is that their baby has been their entire story while Ted, Barney, and Robin all have something meatier to work with courtesy of the issues going on in their dating lives. This will be at least somewhat resolved in the weeks ahead with Barney and Robin, so the focus will begin to shift elsewhere … such as more Marshall-and-Lily goodness.
