In a post on Instagram (see below), Manish Dayal confirms that the cast and crew are now back at work on the latest batch of episodes for the hit Fox series. This seas is one that is going to pick up with Nic Nevin in an almost-impossible situation — she could lose either her father or her sister following the events of the finale, and the question becomes which one. While there were a number of fan theories out there at the time of the finale, we had heard that there was no firm decision as to who Nic was going to lose. We can see the case for both — keeping her sister Jessie alive is the more popular choice of the two, but there could be more drama to be milked out of her father being around and the two of them having a history of problems. That’s before even introducing the fact that Nic told him that he would be okay before undergoing to surgery to give Jessie a kidney.
As for what else is coming on The Resident season 3, we’re sure that there are going to be stories about difficult issues going on the medical profession and the people at the center of most of them. While The Resident is a show geared around medicine, there are also political angles aplenty that are also going to be explored in the process. This is a show that wants to bring a lot of different stuff to the table and that’s what makes it stand out amidst the larger field.
