Supergirl season 4 spoilers: Meet James Olsen’s sister!
According to a report from Deadline, Azie Tesfai of Jane the Virgin fame is going to be recurring over this season as Kelly Olsen. She is an intelligent woman with a lot of life experience, and also someone who has a rich military background. She’s finishing up her training to be a psychiatrist, which is probably something that many characters in the Arrowverse could benefit from in one way or another.

The casting description for this character makes it appear as though she is a caring / kindhearted person, and that of course raises a number of interesting questions in turn about how she will end up contributing to this particular world. Is she going to be a valuable foil to James, or someone needed to offer some help and support to someone else? For the time being, there are a number of mysteries floating around with this character. The one thing that we are confident about is that it’s nice to have someone present on the series to help fill in the cracks when it comes to James. While he is a very-good character, there are certainly times over the years when we have yearned for him to get a more personal story beyond just being a love interest for Kara or Lena. A lot of times, he has been set up to fail just by being romantically tied to someone in the ‘shipping world, which can often prove to be rather polarizing and divisive.
New episodes of Supergirl will continue to air on The CW Sunday night. We don’t expect Kelly Olsen to show up for a little while but when she does, she should add a little bit more entertainment to the world.
