The Big Bang Theory season 11 episode 6 return date: Wil Wheaton returns

The Big Bang Theory season 11 episode 6 return date

Curious in knowing The Big Bang Theory season 11 episode 6 return date? Well, you may also be curious to know that it’s not going to be next week!

After airing the show over the past several weeks Monday nights at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time the CBS sitcom is now moving forward in its familiar Thursday timeslot, also at 8:00 p.m.. This week is the end of Thursday Night Football over at CBS, and with that the network can resume its normal lineup of The Big Bang Theory followed by the long-awaited return of Young Sheldon. We’re still not entirely sure why in the world CBS put Young Sheldon on this long hiatus that it’s been on over the past several weeks, but we just happy that’s it’s finally back.

Below, you can get a few more details on The Big Bang Theory season 11 episode 6 so you have an idea as to what’s coming up; we recently reported at CarterMatt that Sheldon Cooper was going to be interested in trying to become the new Professor Proton, and what we know now is that there is some interesting competition that he is clashing with in the form of none other than Wil Wheaton!

“The Proton Regeneration” – Sheldon goes head-to-head with Wil Wheaton for the role of the new Professor Proton. Also, Penny steps in to take care of Halley when Bernadette and Wolowitz both wind up on bed rest, when THE BIG BANG THEORY moves to its regular time period, Thursday, Nov. 2 (8:00-8:31 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

The relationship between Wheaton and Sheldon is a rather storied history. In the early days of the show they were arch-rivals. Wheaton was his Lex Luthor to his Superman. However, over time some of the ice thawed between them a little bit, and while it was nice to see the two parties getting along we’ll be the first to say that this story was at its funniest when these two guys had their feud going on — sure, it was mostly lopsided thanks to Sheldon’s hate of the Star Trek: The Next Generation actor, but over time Wheaton did do a few things to fuel the fire. (It doesn’t help that in his mind, Sheldon may be a fun person to enrage.)

This episode is also going to feature the return of Bob Newhart as Professor Proton, who will likely be turning up in the form of dream sequences in Sheldon’s mind — much as he has as of late. We do love the meta-comedy here since it’s also legendary sitcom star Bob Newhart speaking to current sitcom star Jim Parsons. The relationship is relatively similar to Sheldon and Professor Proton, when you really start to think about.
