Outlander season 3 episode 4 spoilers: Richard Rankin returns!

Outlander season 3 episode 4

Outlander season 3 episode 4 will be an integral hour for many reasons, with the return of Richard Rankin among them! We love us some Roger Wakefield, and it absolutely feels as though it’s the right time to get him back out in the show’s world once more. The last we saw of him was in the season 2 finale “Dragonfly in Amber”; moving into the next episode, you’ll start to see more of the development of his relationship with Brianna and Claire in the present.

The past two episodes have done a lot of work when it comes to jumping forward in time. Now, we’re back at the events of “Dragonfly in Amber” and understand more of how Claire made it to this point with her daughter. She will be working with Roger and Bree in order to find a way to see him again; it will be no easy task, but she needs to find that out before she can determine if it is even possible to find him in the past.

Of course, the synopsis below does also indicate more of the story that you are going to see for Sam Heughan’s character. While he may be trying to live a little more under-the-radar in the aftermath of his release, trouble just has this knack of following him anywhere he goes.

Outlander season 3 episode 4 synopsis – “While serving as groomsman at the aristocratic estate of Helwater, Jamie is reluctantly pulled into the intrigue of a noble British family. In 1968 Scotland, Claire, Brianna and Roger struggle to trace Jamie’s whereabouts in history, leaving Claire to wonder if they will ever find him again.”

This episode is going to be a turning point for these characters as we inch closer to the moment everyone has been waiting for: The Print Shop. Can you believe that we’re almost there? It’s one of television’s most impossible reunions, and we at CarterMatt have a feeling that this moment (when it happens) will be one of the most talked-about scenes in television this year. We just don’t want to become so intent on discussing that as a viewer that we lose sight on some of the important content that is coming in between. It is still imperative to keep track of the developments happening now, since any character or any event that happens can pay off big dividends down the road. In so many ways, the proof is in the pudding with Lord John Grey; while book readers may have been able to anticipate his impact more thanks to their knowledge of the story, show-only viewers may be shocked to realize just how much story came out of one relatively-small plotline in the second season. John Grey owed Jamie his life, and Jamie can now effectively say the same in regards to his future.
