Scorpion season 4: What’s next for Happy, Toby? (Couples Forecast)
When we last saw the two characters, they were trying to recover from what was originally supposed to be a honeymoon. Instead, it turned out being somewhat of a disaster with all sorts of chaos and conflict around every turn. While the two parties made it through all of that, there are still probably some other challenges coming as they move into their life as a couple.
As for what could lie ahead for the two of them … we do have some suggestions!
1. No talk about kids right away – We do figure that sooner or later, the two could move to that point; however, there was that pregnancy storyline that existed briefly on the show in the past, and we do think there’s a lot of time left for the two to get into this point. There’s no immediate need to rush, since there is some value still in seeing what happens when the two work together, live together, and go through all of their various problems together.
2. More time in the field together – Hey, why not test this bond even more! Put them in situations where neither one of them necessarily excels in, and then force the two of them to figure out how to work together to get themselves out of it. We also like the idea of them going undercover on a mission as a very different sort of couple than they are, just for the sake of humor and seeing if they can ever see themselves in a different role.
3. Mentors to Walter and Paige – In theory it may sound weird, but in practice we feel like it could be super-funny to see the two offering up some relationship advice given that the two are still so dysfunctional themselves at times. They can show “Waige” the ropes of how to make it work / not work, and you know that Toby especially is going to take some pride in all of them.
4. Keep introducing domestic storylines – Maybe Toby has a difference of opinion in how to design the living room, or maybe Happy wants the two of them to wake up at a certain time of the morning. Don’t make the show just about them working together, but also don’t make it all about their home life, either. The goal here is to strike the balance for them between what their life was in the first two seasons and then what their life is now. It’s an evolution more so than completely changing things up.
