Big Brother 19 live feed spoilers: The Power of Veto winner! (day 46)

Veto winner

Today, there was a very important Power of Veto Competition in the Big Brother house, largely because there are so many interesting dynamics at play. For example, Josh has been targeting Elena more than Jessica this week, but if Elena finds a way to get off the block, that changes. Meanwhile, Josh also still doesn’t have control over how anyone votes, and he may have to name someone as a pawn.

Remember here that going into the Veto, Elena, Mark, and Jessica were the nominees, with the latter in that position because of losing the Temptation Competition.

So … what happened with the Veto? Joining Elena, Mark, Jessica, and Josh in playing were Alex and Christmas. Christmas used her Temptation to replace Cody as taking part in the competition.

Ultimately, the winner for the Competition was Mark! All signs point towards it being a form of OTEV, and he is planning understandably to take himself off of the block. This leaves Josh in a position where he does have to nominate someone else; Christmas volunteered to do that, thinking mostly that nobody is going to be interested in getting her out of the game at the moment.

This does put the remainder of the house in an interesting spot, given that Mark almost surely won’t vote Elena out while we also have a hard time thinking that Cody will vote Jessica out. Christmas could end up with two votes potentially cast against her. The rest of the house, meanwhile, has a tricky choice. Josh may want Elena out, but the power here is ultimately up to the players to decide whether her or Jessica goes this week. Jessica may be more popular, but that also seems like the more sensible move.

The biggest reminder we can offer is this: It’s Saturday! The next eviction isn’t going to be happening for a few more days even past the Veto Ceremony Monday, so we figure that there’s going to be all sorts of time to see that play out. Remember: We thought this past week was going to be boring, and that obviously did not end up being the case at all. Crazier things have happened than Christmas volunteering and going home.
