Ratings: The Night Shift season 4, Zoo season 3, Suits season 7

Suits season 7 ratings

For the sake of this ratings article, what we’re chronicling is rater simple: The latest Suits season 7 ratings and much more!

We’re starting with the USA hit mostly because we’re coming off of the big premiere episode, and with that, there’s a great deal to discuss on this department. The first episode of the show drew in total a 0.4 rating in the 18-49 demographic, slightly under what the average was for season 6.

There is some good news and bad news when it comes to these numbers — the good news is that the premiere ratings are up from the back six episodes of last season in the winter, but also down from the 0.5 or so that the show averaged in the summer. All in all, this is a decent start to the season; hopefully, viewers stick around — though we know there are some strong opinions out there already about the big twist with Harvey and Dr. Paula.

We’ll be back throughout the season to talk more when it comes to Suits ratings; for now, let’s move on to look on a couple of other shows that we frequently cover here at the site.

The latest on The Night Shift

We obviously want to see the medical drama, a favorite here at the site, return for a season 5. Based on the current ratings, we’re glad that things are staying level. Despite airing without a ton of promotion, averaging a 0.7 rating in this current climate isn’t all that bad. Also, the show did post a season high when it comes to viewers, with 4.4 million people as a whole checking out the hour. This number will of course escalate when the live+3 and live+7 data comes into play — we’re certainly expecting such, given that this show is actually airing in a fairly competitive timeslot this summer.

Speaking of competition … the latest Zoo ratings

It’s been a rough summer for the CBS series in terms of live ratings, and that does continue now. With a 0.6 rating in the demo, the show kept the entirety of its prior episode’s ratings. However, that’s not exactly great and it’s not the sort of number that will keep the show safe from cancellation buzz. Hopefully, the DVR / streaming data, plus a sweet deal with Netflix, will be enough to keep the super-fun show safe for a little while longer.
