The Fosters season 5 premiere spoilers: Stef tries to track Callie down
In this video, you can see that Stef is doing everything in her power to ensure the safety of Callie, but unfortunately, she also does not have all that much to go on when it comes to her whereabouts. Sometimes, even the best police officers out there have to rely on simple things such as a phone app, which may not be all that accurate in the event that she’s separated from her phone. Stef is actively in communication with her fellow officers, trying to make sure that they have the tools in place to get Callie back safe.
Unfortunately, this is really a race against time given that Maia Mitchell’s character is not in a good spot. She made a poor decision to flee at the end of season 4, and her life is going to go from bad to worse until she finds her way back. Alas, it’s not all that clear just yet as to when it will be. Maybe Stef will find her this week and this story is ultimately rather short-lived; or, maybe this is going to be one that lasts several episodes and it’s going to take some time for her to be found.
If Stef could be focused entirely on trying to locate Callie, maybe her search would be a little bit easier. However, we know already that this is going to be far from the case when you remember everything else that is going on.
Brandon and Jesus – After everything that transpired with Emma, these two guys are going to be at odds, and it’s not clear if this relationship is one that can be easily repaired.
Jude – Is his life starting to stabilize, and is he figuring out more the kid that he wants to be? We hope so, given that almost everything with him could’ve been upended with some of his actions at the end of season 4.
Lena – She’s got her own problems trying to navigate the Anchor Beach protests, which put her future in jeopardy as an educator.
As is often the case with The Fosters, there are several different things happening all at once. You better be prepared to follow along — and it benefits you to get some tissues handy as well.
