Bachelor in Paradise 4: DeMario Jackson reportedly loses job over allegations

allegations

Compared to the past days, things have been relatively quiet when it comes to the Bachelor in Paradise scandal today — with one key exception when it comes to DeMario Jackson.

According to Inside Edition, Jackson claims that he has been terminated from his recruiting job as a result of the investigation into what happened involving him and Corinne Olympios, who claimed in a statement this week that she was a “victim” of an assault that happened during filming. She did not name DeMario or assess any blame directly towards him, but he released a statement this week saying that he will defend vigorously any claims that are brought his way.

Jackson also reiterated to the website that he wants the videos of what happened on the night in question to be released, that way that his name can be cleared in any wrongdoing:

“My character has been assassinated, my family name has been drug through the mud. The only thing I want is for the truth to come out. I feel like the truth will be able to come out in those videos.”

The unfortunate reality that DeMario now faces is that regardless of what happens in this investigation, he has to live with the fact that he will be a distraction to many potential employers moving forward. If he is found guilty in any way, than his problems are exponentially greater than that. We still maintain that with this situation, it is best to allow the investigation to continue and to see what the results are before jumping to any conclusions.

There is no timetable on when this could end, but for ABC they would obviously benefit from getting answers sooner rather than later. The safety of all parties involved, especially Corinne given the nature of her statement, come first. If the franchise is able to continue, they have to be able to figure out how much this incident could impact casting for their other shows and make prospective candidates feel as though they are in a safe and stable environment.
